Michael J. Halkias is a Member of the Firm. He is a licensed Public Accountant in New York and New Jersey and has been practicing public accounting for over 25 years. Michael specializes in providing accounting, auditing, consulting and tax services to entities with extensive experience in the maritime, hospitality, and professional service industries.

Michael’s professional practice includes multi-national audits, reviews, technical accounting consulting, transactional support services, and management of special projects. He was previously a member of the Content Committee of the AICPA Board of Examiners, which is responsible for the technical content of the Uniform CPA and a member of the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) and Audit sub-committees of the Content Committee which review and approve content for inclusion in the Uniform CPA Examination.

Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He is a graduate of Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting. Michael is an avid reader and traveler, who resides in Rockaway, New Jersey and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
