Location: 165 Passaic Avenue, Fairfield, NJ

Hours: Up to 25 hours per week

Position Summary

As an Accounting Intern, you will learn the ins and outs of tax, audit, and assurance. You will assist with the auditing of client financials, transactions, and internal control processes. You assist with development of solutions to complex issues, through research and understanding of applicable laws. You will work both independently and collaboratively with teams to achieve top-notch client service.

Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
  • Analyze accounting books, records, and financial statements.
  • Assist with auditing internal controls.
  • Assist with tax and audit engagement planning.
  • Work with client accounting records and software, including QuickBooks
  • Scanning documents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science/Business Administration of Science in Accounting or related field
    • Or in the process of acquiring degree (must be enrolled)
  • Relevant work experience is a plus (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)
  • Ability to occasionally travel to clients
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage assignments in a team environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
