Rory Gannon is a Forensic and Valuation Services Director with the Firm. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and a member of both the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has experience working in insurance, investment banking and public accounting for over 11 years.
Rory serves clients in many industries. He provides these companies and their clients with forensic accounting services pertaining to; matrimonial litigation, fraud investigation, commercial litigation support, business valuation, and shareholder dispute resolution.
In his role on the Smolin forensic team, Rory leverages his prior experience as a licensed investment banker, on a variety of Commercial Real Estate assignments involving the valuation of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT’s) for purpose of 1031 like kind exchanges, Net Asset Value calculations for shareholders, mergers and acquisitions, purchase price allocations and litigation support services. His extensive knowledge helps to assist clients in resolving their various litigation issues.
Rory is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Rutgers University with a Master of Accountancy in Taxation. Rory is originally from Boonton Township, New Jersey and presently resides in Long Branch, New Jersey.
